Tory/Libdems slash support for Citizens Advice Bureau

Amongst the cutbacks from the coalition government are cutbacks on spending on debt advisory services.

As a result of these cutbacks the CAB has announced that it has had to cut five hundred specialist debt advisor jobs, which were funded by the Financial Inclusion Fund. The CAB said that the funding ends in March, which is when the posts will be cut.

This is happening whilst in the equivalent of every hour in the UK

66 people are made redundant (1,584 per day)

15 people are declared bankrupt, ( 337 per day)

4 people have their homes repossessed (87 per day)
