Whilst Lord Snooty, the libdem/Tory chancellor pretends to do something for motorists by a miserly reduction in fuel duty he completely ignores the young, old, poor and less wealthy majority in his country.
Unlike the super-rich, aristocrats, bankers etc that the lib-dems and tories represent, many of the rest of us rely on public transport. Even that is now becoming un-affordable. Train fares up by 15% (Telegraph) Bus fares up 10%. Lord Snooty sits back and does nothing apart from give tax cuts to his chums in the banks and big business.
Young people in particular are punished after the Lib-Dems and Tories steal EMA payments and bus passes.
The chance of most young people owning a car now is minimal. Bill EstersonMP reported last week of a constituent being asked for £33,000 for car insurance. Oh and try and get HP when you leave University with debts amounting to nearly £80,000 (After Repayment)
I get the feeling that the LibDem/Tory millionaires have a deep and long-term agenda and are uncomfortable with the less well-off having easy access to transport and education. Much like their right-wing counterparts in parts of the US, Minnesota for instance where the republicans instigated a bill to outlaw welfare claimants from possessing more than $20 in cash.
