Voluntary Work In the UK

International Voluntary Service since 1982

The horrible LibDems & Tories patronisingly claim they have invented the “BIG SOCIETY” idea where,  in their eyes, they force people to volunteer to do work that people used to get paid for. Well those privileged Lib-dem and Tory Toffs wouldn’t have a clue why people volunteer, they’ve never done anything of use to anyone without getting paid a fat wedge to do it.

Here is an example of a real Volunteer project that you will find at the VOLUNTEERS FOR PEACE website. Many people take the opportunity to share their skills and have a holiday at the same time.

This one is near Chepstow(see Map) and requires just manual skills. Other projects ask for a wide range of professional skills. THE WEBSITE IS HERE

Volunteers may take part in this week and will be supplied with period costume and work with a small group of English experts at one of the activities or they can have a rest week and go travelling. Week three will be spent covering the roof with sandstone tiles.
