A “hooter” should be installed in the Commons to correct the prime minister’s factual errors, a Labour MP has suggested.
Kevin Brennan said the prime minister appeared to be “quite casual, some might say careless, with the facts”. He suggested a game show style “hooter” be installed on the clerk’s desk that could be honked every time the prime minister made a factual error.
“It might prevent the patronising of people,” he told MPs this morning.
